Liza Lunt is of counsel at Zalkind Duncan & Bernstein LLP where, since 1979, she has represented defendants in a wide range of criminal cases in state and federal court.
From 2009 to 2013 she chaired MACDL’s Legislation Committee.
Ms. Lunt’s state and federal criminal defense practice includes felonies such as murder, sex offenses, drug offenses, racketeering and fraud, as well as misdemeanors, restraining orders and juvenile delinquency cases. She has extensive experience in trial and pre-trial practice and also in litigating new trial motions, motions to withdraw guilty pleas and appeals.
Ms. Lunt’s civil litigation practice includes representation of professionals in licensing matters and both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and civil rights cases.
Ms. Lunt is listed in Best Lawyers in America for both white collar and non-white collar criminal defense and as a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine, and has the highest rating by Martindale Hubbell. She is a regular lecturer at CLE and bar association programs on various aspects of trial and post-conviction practice.
In addition to her work with MACDL, Ms. Lunt is a former member of the Council and the Executive Committee of the Boston Bar Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Legal Services and Counseling Center.
Ms. Lunt is a graduate of Harvard Law School, London School of Economics and Oxford University.
